Tiled stoves are true fireplace classics. The three main types of tiled stoves are masonry, hot-air and combination stoves. The wide range of colours and designs make them ideal for both old buildings and modern homes. Masonry stoves take a long time to heat up, but act as efficient storage heaters, giving off consistent heat over a period of several hours. Hot-air tiled stoves heat up much more rapidly and provide convection heating. Models with a glass ceramic door also produce radiant heat which warms the room quickly. Stoves with a heated bench seat are particularly cozy.
